On this course you will be able to: Understand the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider; Be able to assess an emergency situation and act safely and effectively; Provide First Aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally; Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally and administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation/AED; Recognise and support a casualty who is choking; Be able to provide First Aid to casualty with external bleeding.

Introduction to First Aid View details

The course covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising the signs and symptoms of illness. The course also covers first aid skills in basic life support (CPR) and the use of defibrillator (AED). The course how to assist a casualty who is suffering from a major illness or injury, such as head, spinal and chest injury and heart attack, angina, and anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction).
