The course provides an introduction to the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification. Students will be introduced to the skills and attributes needed to become a Teaching Assistant, take part in group discussions about equality, diversity, child development, and safeguarding. Students will learn how to write for assessment. We will also discuss how to organise your volunteer placement in a school setting which will be required for more advanced courses. This course also offers the opportunity to develop I.T skills.
