During this course you will be need to be working in a beauty salon and will learn how about facials, manicures, pedicure and nail art services. The course will support you to gain employment at a junior level as you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to work in a beauty salon. You will be introduced to a range of techniques and will be assessed in the workplace environment.

Course aim

This course will support you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to work in a commercial beauty salon and will qualify you as a junior beautician.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Recognise the importance of facial skincare
  • Demonstrate enhancement of eyebrows and eyelashes
  • Demonstrate waxing techniques
  • Demonstrate manicure and pedicure techniques
  • Highlight the importance of health and safety
