Course involves mixture of activities and sessions, in and outside classroom involving tutors and guest speakers focused on improving health and wellbeing as a driver to getting ready for work. Activities include • L2 Health and Safety qualification • Employability skills training including CVs, applications, mock interviews, understanding barriers, personal presentation and job searching • Money management • Home energy saving and advice • Healthy lifestyles and awareness sessions including drug and alcohol misuse, gun and knife crime, diet and nutrition, mental health awareness • Outdoor practical activities – community project and physical activities • Daily health and wellbeing activities e.g. stretching, light fitness circuit, relaxation techniques

Course aim

The programme will help improve future job prospects by boosting candidate’s confidence, increasing their motivation and help build self-reliance.

  • Meet new people, build confidence and self-belief
  • Feel healthier both physically and mentally
  • Break down barriers that have been holding you back
  • Take next step towards a job, volunteering or training

Laptops are available at the centre any practical sessions equipment will be provided by Groundwork GM or by the visiting centre / location
