A course to inspire you to find out about health and issues that are topical for women today. Start to take take positive actions towards the future you want for you and your community. During this course you will develop skills in communicating, you will increase awareness of yourself and the community around you. This will include Using a survey to find out more about the health of community/region you live in.

Course aim

Become more aware of how health and other issues shape our lives and community. Increase skills and confidence in communicating. Start to identify potential in yourself and your community.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for those who are interested in health, community and personal development.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Write about an issue that affects women
  • Conduct a health questionnaire
  • Identify steps to develop communication for a purpose
  • Conduct a personal development review
  • Identify connections and activities within own community

The course uses Canvas the WEA learning platform. You will need access to WIFI and a laptop or tablet.

Enrolment Conditions

  • You are aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2021
  • You declare that the address you provide is correct and that you will provide evidence of this and your eligibility to live and work in the UK
