During the session we will discuss your skills and experience with you, talk to you about the courses available and ask you to complete a task to see which course is suitable for you and to give you an idea of the work you will need to complete during your study.

Students must attend the Initial Assessment session prior to attending the Level 2 Award Support Work in Schools and Colleges course Contact Diane Quinney dquinney@wea.org.uk or Su Morgan smorgan@wea.org.uk for course information and PIN number to enrol on the Initial Assessment session.

Course aim

This session will provide you with information about the Schools and Parenting courses we offer that are accredited through NFFE Cache. You will be asked to complete an assessment task that will help us to see which course is right for you.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify the Schools and Parenting courses available
  • Identify the skills I have, need and will develop during a course
  • Agree whether I will be able to/ am ready to undertake an accredited course
  • Prepare for enrolment or referral to other learning opportunities
