Pattern Cutting for Beginners - Classic Shirt Block

Ref: C3680286

During the course, you are required to provide your own materials, you will need 3 metres of pattern paper and 2 metres of lightweight plain fabric. You will take your own set of measurements and use these to create a classic shirt block pattern. The first three sessions are vital, this is where you will be introduced to pattern cutting tools, take your measurements and begin the drafting process following tutor-led, step-by-step instructions as a group. From this point, you will trace a working pattern and you will toile up and fit the classic shirt, you may have to make alterations to the toile and pattern. You will need to have basic sewing machine skills. After the blocking stage, you will also explore cuffs, collars, and facings patterns to accompany your block.
