During the course you will learn how to take accurate measurements and draft a trousers pattern. You will also learn about a variety of basic pattern cutting techniques, final fit, making adjustments and finishing a trousers. Students will also produce a reference file.

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Apply numeracy and English skills to take accurate measurements
  • Use personal measurements to draft a basic trousers pattern
  • Develop basic pattern cutting techniques and apply this to a personal project
  • Understand how to do alteration of the trousers and apply this to a personal project
  • Understand how to hem together the final pieces and apply this to a personal project
