The Hero's Journey Cycle explains the stages of change, as immortalised in the great stories, myths and legends from every culture on Earth... and how theses great stories are really YOUR story. This course is suitable for people who are looking for self-help solutions to help discover one's true meaning and purpose in life. Various techniques will be explored and experienced in a friendly and supportive environment with like-minded people.

Course aim

Introduces "The Hero's Journey" model of change, and explores techniques for how to apply the Hero's Journey in daily life for the improvement of health and well being.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Recognise the Hero's Journey Cycle as it appears in stories, movies and your own life events
  • Experience and describe at least three personal benefits from practicing "Hero's Journey" self-help strategies and/or stress management techniques
  • Prepare a Hero's Journey Cycle of two past life events and to prepare for a future goal
  • Implement the Hero's Journey self-help strategies and stress management techniques into your daily life

You will also need access to the internet outside of your sessions. You could do this using a smart phone, tablet, laptop or a desktop computer (at home or through a library etc.).
