I will work with you to improve your confidence in your ability to develop artistic skills and creativity. You will learn the skills of many crafts by watching and following step by step demonstrations. With one to one help and guidance you will make unique, dimensional projects, learning how to use a multitude of skills and resources, to include making unusual shaped cards, gift boxes, recycled items using napkin decoupage, painting techniques using oils acrylics and glass paints and much more. We will explore and try crafts of your choice to meet your individual needs and expectations during the course. This is a fun course for everyone from the complete beginner to those wanting to improve their skills, no prior knowledge is needed just a desire to learn and develop your skills and creativity, gain confidence meet new friends have fun and make something wonderful.

Course aim

To provide a safe welcoming and supportive environment in which students can learn and develop their craft skills building up confidence to develop their own artistic skills and creativity.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Follow a template, score and fold card into shape making unusual shaped gift boxes and cards with movement .
  • Paint flowers and foliage using 'the one brush stroke method' .
  • Recycle jars and unused items, using napkin decoupage or flower painting.
  • Create a mixed media piece of art work using different mediums and materials.
  • Use a variety of painting techniques with oils, acrylics, water colour and pastels.

scissors, pencil, ruler, a glue stick, upva glue, double sided tape. Clean jars for napkin decoupage. I will put the different projects and materials you will need on canvas nearer the the start of the course.
