Making Crochet Jewellery

In this course students will make some beautiful crochet jewellery. We will look at a few techniques to create earrings, necklaces and bracelets using fine thread and hooks, add beads to our work and create some unique and very wearable jewellery.

Course aim

In this course we will look at techniques to make a few items of crocheted jewellery

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers
  • Students should be able to demonstrate basic crochet stitches and techniques

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Demonstrate several techniques for making crochet earrings, necklaces and bracelets
  • Demonstrate how to add beadwork to crochet projects.
  • Demonstrate how to block and stiffen crochet projects in order to help them keep their shape
  • Demonstrate how to add findings, such as earring hooks and studs, to crochet work

This course is funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and only applicable postcode areas are permitted to enrol.
