Yoga For The Menopause

Welcome to this Yoga Class specifically focusing on practices that can help you to manage the main symptoms of the menopause. Regular practice of gentle yoga can help you to manage menopausal symptoms such as irritability, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, sleep difficulties, hot flashes, joint pain and muscle aches. We will focus on using calming and cooling breathing techniques, gentle exercises that ease joint pain, restorative poses that ease physical tension and calm the mind, we will end the session with Yoga Nidra - a deep relaxation practice which promotes good sleep.

Course aim

The purpose of this class is to provide an introduction to yoga practice that can help and support women who are experiencing the menopause.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Learn practices that can help you to manage the main symptoms of the menopause
  • Learn how to follow a guided relaxation - allowing yourself to feel both relaxed and refreshed

What else do I need to know?

You will need a yoga mat, a block if you have one, some cushions/pillows, blankets. You will also need a chair and access to some wall space in the room that you are practicing yoga. You should wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may wish to use an eye mask for the relaxation if you have one.

  • You declare that the address you provide is correct and that you will provide evidence of this and your eligibility to live and work in the UK
