Beginners' Printmaking is an introductory course that explores mono-printing, collagraph and lino printing. These techniques can all be done at home with a small range of equipment and materials. A kit list will be published in Canvas before the course and options explained each week. The techniques shared can all be applied to other art and craft activities.
Course aim
Beginners' printmaking offers an opportunity for students to explore a range of home printing techniques and is ideal for those wishing to use printmaking in combination with other arts and crafts.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand and use a range of techniques for home printmaking.
- Make a set of prints that reflects a growing awareness of the themes and techniques that inspire me.
- Troubleshoot any print issues so that consistent results are achieved.
- Make a small edition of consistent prints.
- Annotate my work so that I can explain the processes I have used and the themes I have developed.
What else do I need to know?
You will need a kit of printmaking materials - a basic kit will be published in Canvas and can be added to as the course progresses.
