Join our face-to-face digital skills sessions at Totnes Library to increase your confidence with using digital content. Learn how to build skills such as using a keyboard, accessing emails and exploring the internet with your tutor. This course is suitable for beginners with progression into the 'Essential Digital Skills' course. Computers are available to use in the library IT suite.

Course aim

Learn how to build the skills and confidence to access digital content and explore online platforms.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Understand the basic functions on a keyboard.
  • Be able to log into a computer using a keyboard and mouse.
  • Understand how to stay safe online.
  • Know how to connect to the internet and carry out searches
  • Access emails, files, folders and attachments.

You will use the library computers while on this course, but if you wish to bring your own laptop if you have one, please do. Also please bring pens and paper for making your own notes. thank you
