Origami Element Greeting Cards  - advanced techniques

Do you like paper folding, the precision needed and the lovely patterns it makes? If you do, this course is for you. Through out the course we will use a variety of paper folding techniques - origami, iris folding and tea bag folds to create beautiful card fronts which will add a wow factor to your greeting cards. We will also explore the many different ways people promote and sell their Craft as this may be of interest to you! Join this friendly and supportive online group to learn and practise this relaxing and rewarding skill, to chat with like minded Crafters and to share ideas and inspiration.

Course aim

Create greeting cards using paper fold techniques to add dimension and interest.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Use tea-bag folding techniques to create card front focal points.
  • Create a simple Iris fold template.
  • Use your Iris fold template to create a card front.
  • List 3 possible outlets for selling your Craft items.
  • Access Zoom and Canvas teaching materials for this course.

This course is classed as advanced as it would be helpful if you had some experience and supplies for papercraft in general and greeting cards in particular such as score board, card blanks and patterned paper pads, and can use a ruler competently when measuring in quarters and 8ths of inches.
