Learners to develop language in simple and familiar formal exchanges connected with Education, training, work, health, and social roles. Learners can develop their topic-based basic vocabulary of familiar and non-familiar topics. Learners can also develop and improve digital skills and self-confidence.

Course aim

To develop and improve language ; listening and speaking skills to communicate effectively at Entry 1 Level.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners
  • Before you can join this course you will need to talk to a member of staff and do an initial assessment to make sure the course is right for you. Please call the Student Support Team on 0300 303 3464
  • You need to register with an email address and will need to access Zoom via your phone, iPad, tablet, or laptop.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • To speak in simple sentences.
  • To ask simple questions.
  • To answer and respond to simple questions.
  • To use the mute button to stop background noise.
  • To Listen to news and information and respond to questions about news.
