Ref: C3128871

Can you do the basics in Word but would like to do a little more, maybe insert a table and add data to it, create folders, save your work into them, and be able find it again? How about adding an image or changing the margins, what about using indents to make your documents more professional - then this may be the course for you. Learn to create a spreadsheet where you can sort and filter data, know what a cell reference is and how to use them. What is the IF function? In PowerPoint what is a transition? How can I group a set of images together so they move as one? We will learn about these issues, how to solve them and more. Join this supportive and encouraging group today!

Course aim

To build on your basic IT skills to develop knowledge and confidence.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Insert a table, add data, edit, and format it in Word.
  • Create and manage files and folders to enable easy retrieval of work.
  • Use transitions on your presentation slides.
  • Enter, edit and format data in a spreadsheet.
  • Explain the difference between formulas and functions in Excel.

How will I be taught?

What kind of feedback can I expect?

What else do I need to know?

I am planning on covering one program per week (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint), working through questions noted in the course description but this course will be led by those attending so if you have a related query, bring it along to the group and we will look for answers.
