Developing customer Service Skills

The aim of this course is to build on confidence, gain knowledge, and learn the skills of what is needed when applying for a position as a customer service representative in a call centre. At the end of this course learners will be given the opportunity to attend a real interview, which, if successful, wild led to a job. Learners will be able to produce an accurate and up to date CV, learn how to present themselves when attending an interview and gain knowledge of interview techniques, which will be helpful when applying for a job.

Course aim

Prepare learners for an interview in a call centre, including writing CV, interviewing techniques, digital skills and customer service.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Research with confidence a layout which can be used for a CV
  • Confidently produce an accurate and up to date CV for an employer
  • Confidently research and list 5 questions that could be asked in an interview
  • Demonstrate the importance of appearance and punctuality at an interview
  • Describe why it is important to use appropriate behaviour during an interview

This course is funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.
