Moroccan Patisserie

Over the seven weeks, this course will give you the opportunity to start exploring the Moroccan patisserie, bread making and culture from the comfort of you own home. In these sessions you will learn how to make some sweet cookies and biscuits using almonds and a variety of nuts, seeds and flours. Bake some traditional Moroccan breads following step by step instructions from our expert Moroccan tutor. Meanwhile learn about the nuts, seeds and the aromas used in the Moroccan home patisseries/breads, you will also learn tips and hints of the latter. Our learning will be in a fun and interactive environment. The choice is yours to bake at the same time as the tutor or follow the presentation and the live baking demonstration then do it at your own pace afterwards.

Course aim

Learners will learn how to make some mouth watering authentic recipes with an experienced Moroccan tutor who is passionate about cooking. They will improve their skills and confidence and will have an insight into the Moroccan patisserie.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Make Moroccan bread,sweet pastries and cookies.
  • Manage time when following the recipe
  • Learn about the culture of baking in Morocco and feel more confident about your baking skills making authentic Moroccan recipes.
  • Improve your maths skills for baking.
  • Take part in research on baking with different kinds of nuts and dry fruits.
