The tutor will demonstrate various aspects of painting, covering areas such as skies, trees, water, etc. and development of tone, form, depth and colour mixing. With 1 to 1 tuition from the tutor the student can build up their own version of the painting. Mediums used will be watercolour and acrylic although students can use whatever medium they wish to use. Developing ones own painting is very much encouraged. As the course progresses, personal feelings about painting will develop and you will begin to see the world around you differently and your art will grow along with a sense of satisfaction, achievement and wellbeing. Meeting each week with others, friendships will develop. Students past and present have said that being able to 'switch off' for a couple of hours has benefitted them, taking their minds off 'other' issues and they find the sessions enjoyable, relaxing and rewarding.
