A course where you will gain confidence, knowledge and understanding of using your camera. Identifiyng and using the camera's options and capture modes. Taking part in the group discussions to improve your photos. This will also includes classroom time via Zoom in our canvas platform and completion of homework and activities.

Course aim

This course aims to help you become confident in using your camera, learning and using different camera settings and capture modes.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Recognise and use digital icons, wb, ev, ael, P, A/Av, S/tv, M,
  • Use digital menu settings to make digital changes: white balance, picture style/effects, Inside filters,
  • Explore exposure, using digital tools and functions
  • Using digital aperture creatively
  • upload digital media

What you need: internet connection, speakers, microphone, webcam for video learning platform, Zoom. Access to the internet outside of your sessions. You need an email address to join the WEA’s digital learning platform,Canvas locate camera manufacter and model,(e.g Nikon d70) camera manual
