This course will suit adults with mixed ability. Through drama, dance and music the students will produce a piece of live theatre. Students will be expected to learn lines, songs and simple choreography. The students will share their work with the local community - with an end of course, final production.

Course aim

This is a one click drama course for mixed ability students. Through scripted work we will produce a piece of theatre that will be shared with the local community and recorded and put onto a DVD as evidence.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • To broaden my vocabulary through script work.
  • To increase my literacy skills through the retention of dialogue and lyrics.
  • To follow choreography and be able to count the steps and beats.
  • To work as a part of a team and demonstrate this with a theatrical production.
  • To improve my reading skills through script work and demonstrate this by sharing dialogue without prompts.
