Spanish Next Steps

We return to the classroom for this face to face course which is for students who want to build on their previous knowledge of Spanish and those who have an interest in Spanish culture. There will be plenty of opportunities to practise different scenarios e.g.in a restaurant ordering foods and learning about local ingredients. The course is ideal for those planning to visit Spain or South America for work or a holiday and who are keen to build on their Spanish, one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. We will also look at current issues like the Mediterranean diet and its health benefits or acquiring a place in the sun. The course will lead to a degree of fluency and understanding of basic texts (Will be at level A2/B1 of the Spanish Framework) This course is for residents of the North of Tyne Combined Authority - Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland

Course aim

This course will build on any previous Spanish knowledge. It will provide a next step in Conversational skills. It will enable you to have a more enjoyable experience whilst getting to know the Hispanic World.

  • This course is for improvers
  • This course is for residents of the North of Tyne Combined Authority - Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Express 5 feelings about food on Holiday
  • Describe 5 future activities during stay in host country
  • Identify 5 signs relating to travel
  • Be able to make a phone call to local services
  • buy 5 items in local shop

This course is funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.

As a registered charity, and to meet our funders’ requirements, we need to check a few things with you before you enrol. Please check the details below to ensure you meet the basic eligibility critiera:
