This short course is an introduction to secondary resources which will help you uncover the history of your house. We will look at where to find, and how to search through, for example, local and national directories, and census information.

In this short taster session we will look at what constitutes secondary sources, and where to locate them.

  • Find out about historical secondary sources to help start your research
  • Learn how to use and apply research to uncover the history of your house

You will need an internet connection, speakers, a microphone and a webcam to use our video learning platform, Zoom to work with others and share ideas regarding your house. Also personal email address to join the WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas so that you can receive resources.

This course is funded by the Greater London Combined Authority but is also open to residents of other areas.
