From puberty to menopause women are constantly having to deal with issues that affect them adversly at certain times of the month . This course will look at the reproductive system and undertstand it on a fundamental level so that we can undestand how to use holistic approaches in the form of nutrition, lifestyle and herbs to improve quality of life and enhance wellbeing. We will have open and frank discussions around issues which affect women in a safe environment which talks are desginied to share common expereinces which women may not usually have the opportunity to share and respond to which serving as a means for greater inclusion and a basis for all round clarity and greater sense of wellbeing.

Additional information about this course

This course is free to adults that receive certain benefits, or live on an earned income of less than £21, 000 per year. This course is available to parents, carers and staff that have children that attend the Woodpecker Hall Academy in Ponders End, Enfield.

Course aim

This course aims to give learners a sound overview of the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system. It will give practical examples of how holistic approaches can be used to manage issues women may have during the menstruating years.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Gain a sound undestanding of the anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system.
  • Understanding how stress affects the reproductive system and learn holistic ways to manage symptoms which result from stress.
  • Gain a greater awareness of self in relation to body, mind and spirit.
  • Learn how to use nutrition to relieve symptoms around the menstrual cycle.
  • Learn which herbs can be used safetly for issues associated with menstrual issues.
