Confidence Building: the psychology and practice

Ref: C2346648

Whatever your circumstances (or personality!), this course aims to help you to build on your existing skills to increase confidence as you manage your everyday life interactions with others. We will draw on insights from recent psychology to understand how good communication works and how to develop lots of practical ways, to best 'manage' tricky conversations and those emotional situations and interactions, that can make us uncomfortable and lower our self-esteem. A further aim is to learn how to feel more in control of situations and to use your sense of agency to express your opinion and take action with confidence. The course will end by exploring ways to make effective plans for any wider changes you’d like to make and how to discover new perspectives and attitudes to life. So, join us to understand and address some of the barriers that get in the way of a more positive sense of self identity and well-being!
