Learn to Sing at Nottingham Women's Centre

Led by a qualified vocal coach, you will learn the secrets of amazing singing, along with a small group of other women. You will learn all about how the voice works and what exercises you can do to make your singing sound great! You will also learn performance skills and confidence building tips, as well as have the opportunity to showcase your singing to the other group members, should you wish to. This course is suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to regular performers. Every student is able to set their own personal vocal goals at the start of the course and track their progress after each class.

Course aim

Come together with other women in a safe and supportive environment to unleash the potential of your singing voice!

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Engage advanced breathing skills to significantly improve at least one area of my singing voice
  • Manipulate the resonance of my singing voice to control my vocal tone
  • Increase my vocal range and / or flexibility
  • Develop my 'musical ear' to improve my accuracy in the areas of pitch and/or rhythm
  • Sing at least one song using accredited standard vocal techniques
