Family History: Graveyard Dash

The course will give you an opportunity to test out your family history skills by researching a different family history. By locating information from a local memorial inscription you will trace the family tree forwards and backwards using a variety of sources and resources and write up a report on your findings. You will consider what skills you have acquired previously and appreciate what you are now able to do.

  • This course is for improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Confidently locate local historical artefacts and record information that they contain.
  • Construct a family tree online that accurately contains evidence of a family history.
  • Locate, consult and record information and data from at least two genealogical online sources.
  • Actively contribute to a mutually supportive genealogical network online
  • Navigate Zoom and Canvas with some confidence
