Jane Austen's England

Ref: C2346542

Jane Austen is, rightly, regarded as one of the greatest writers in the history of English Literature. But have you ever considered what the world was like for Jane Austen while she was writing her books? What were the influences in the real world that affected the way that she chose her characters, described their homes and wrote about the events that took place in their fictitious lives? Come with me on an exploration of life from the end of Age of Reason into the Romantic world at the start of the 19th Century. Together, we will look at the world at this time and at the ways that architecture, art, literature and fashion affected the lives of Jane Austen and the characters that lived within the imaginary reflections of the world that she created.
