Unleash the full potential of your singing voice as part of a supportive and welcoming women-only choir! Join together with other women face to face at Nottingham Women's Centre to a sing a selection of empowering songs, whilst also learning how to create a healthy and professional vocal sound. Students who wish to do so can also take part in an end of term performance.

Course aim

Come together with other women to sing empowering songs whilst learning a range of vocal tips and techniques to improve your singing voice!

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Use musical listening skills to match the pitch and/or rhythm of at least one song
  • Increase my lung capacity by engaging at least one aspect of 360 degree breathing
  • Sustain notes by controlling the movement of my diaphragm
  • Increase the volume of my singing in a healthy way that does not cause strain
  • Sing as part of a harmony
