Every day many of us face the all too common problem of feeling lethargic, unfocused, and lacking personal drive. No matter your career, aspirations, or current situation you may feel frustrated at wanting to become more motivated and inspired in your activities and creations. We will touch upon the psychological and physical processes at work, aim to identify what could be causing difficulties for ourselves, and make a plan on how to address these issues. This informal activity will feature casual lecture, group discussion, and some activities that can start you off on the right track!

Course aim

This informal activity aims to briefly introduce ways in which we can increase our motivation and inspiration in our creative activities and everyday lives.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Give a brief explanation of the psychological processes behind motivation and inspiration
  • Reflect upon and give examples of my personal habits and mindset
  • Describe at least 1 method to positively alter my physical and mental state
  • Plan at least 1 new routine and practise ways to overcome obstacles in my creativity and the everyday for greater mental wellbeing
