So you think you want to work in Science?

Ref: C2228660

On this course you will get an insight into the many careers and jobs that involve or have a science element to them. Science careers do not always involve laboratories or being a doctor (in fact most of them don't!) Many careers involving science do not require you to go to university, although most do need further qualifications. If you have questions - no question is a silly one, this is the course for you. We will look at the variety of jobs and also where you can find additional information, I know there are careers out there that I don't know about either! And explore some of the ways into those careers.

Course aim

To introduce learners to the variety of careers that involve science

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify at least 5 different jobs/careers that have a scientific element
  • Explain how you can find out more information
  • Identify 3 different types of qualifications you may need,
  • Where you can obtain these qualifications

How will I be taught?

What kind of feedback can I expect?

What else do I need to know?

You may like paper and a pen, but I will be putting all resources onto Canvas for you to use and download if you need to.
