What else do I need to know? Is there anything I need to provide?
Please bring a pen or pencil, a notepad and a folder to keep your work in. You will need to buy a book and relevant CDs that cost £30. You may need to print additional materials for the course from the WEA's digital learning platform.
Course aim:
This course aims to expand your previous knowledge of Greek and build up your confidence to use the language to communicate with the locals when in Greece or Cyprus. It will also give you an insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture.
Course description:
Would you like to refresh and expand your Greek language skills so that you can communicate more confidently and effectively? On this course you will have the opportunity to develop primarily your speaking and listening skills in a fun and enjoyable way. You will have plenty of opportunity to practise using everyday words and phrases and useful grammatical structures through a variety of activities (including pictures, games and roleplays). You will also gain an insight into the Greek lifestyle and culture. If you are not sure if this is the right level course for you, please contact the WEA and ask to be put in contact with the tutor.
By the end of the course I will be able to:
1. Demonstrate understanding of words and phrases covered on this course
2. Use new words and expressions in Greek
3. Communicate more confidently in everyday situations covered on this course
4. Demonstrate understanding of aspects of the Greek culture and lifestyle related to the everyday situations covered on this course
How will I learn?

We expect you to attend your classroom sessions and make time to do any required learning activities on your own.

The WEA tutor will use a range of teaching and learning activities and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning. Your tutor will use tasks to see how you are learning, which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects, discussion, written or practical work. Your tutor will give you feedback on your learning and progress.

WEA Canvas online learning area

This includes using Canvas to think about and record your progress and to give your tutor and the WEA feedback on your course.
