Hosted in one of Northumberland's beautiful villages - Walton - this programme will explore several periods of history and specific sites of cultural interest of Northumberland, some celebrated and others underground. Following an introduction to basic creative materials and techniques, learners will be invited to practice to achieve drawing and painting skills that will be demonstrated in studies or a finished piece of work. Students will work together to create an exhibition of their work to celebrate Northumberland's creative culture.
Programme aim
This programme will inspire learners to explore and interpret the historic and cultural landscape and buildings of Northumberland through drawing and painting, This will include a tour of a Northumberland art venue / site and culminate in crating an exhibition to celebrate Northumbrian culture.
