I will work with you to improve your confidence in your ability to develop artistic skills and creativity. You will learn the skills of many crafts by watching and following step by step demonstrations. With one to one help and guidance you will make unique, dimensional projects, learning how to use a multitude of skills and resources, to include making unusual shaped cards, gift boxes, table decorations, decorated candles, napkin folding, crackers and much more. We will explore and try crafts of your choice to meet your individual needs and expectations during the course. This is a fun course for everyone from the complete beginner to those wanting to improve their skills, no prior knowledge is needed just a desire to learn and develop your skills and creativity, gain confidence meet new friends have fun and make something wonderful.
Course aim
To provide a safe welcoming and supportive environment in which students can learn and develop their craft skills building up confidence to develop their own artistic skills and creativity.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Follow a template, score and fold card into shape making unusual shaped cards with movement and gift boxes.
- Arrange foliage (natural or false) to create a table decoration or wreath.
- Use origami folds to create different folded napkins.
- Make and decorate your own candles.
- Co-ordinate colour pattern and design when decorating your projects.
What else do I need to know?
scissors, pencil, ruler, a glue stick, upva glue, double sided tape. I will put the different projects and materials you will need on canvas nearer the the start of the course.
