Charles Darwin. A gentleman who spent 4 weeks on an expedition charting the coast of South America. What he discovered on this journey changed the face of natural science forever. During this taster course we will discuss Darwins scientific theory of Evolution and Matural Selection. Visiting a few of the places The Beagle chartered as well as checking out those famous finches!

Course aim

To provide an introduction to the theory of Evolution. Discovering the main components of the discipline and how it changed the worlds outlook of ancestory and genetics.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Define Natural Selection and Evolution
  • Describe how Darwins Finches led to his scientific discoveries
  • Apply evolutionary thought to the future
