This course will give you the confidence to use digital skills in your everyday life, and also in the workplace. If you’re not working currently, this course will teach you the skills you need to find and apply for work online. You will learn and practice how to stay safe online, find information online, communicate online, shop online, organise digital documents and type a simple text document.

Course aim

The aim of this qualification is to teach you the essential digital skills that are needed for everyday life, and in the workplace.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • be safe and responsible online and on digital devices
  • use digital devices to effectively search for information online
  • create, edit and store digital files
  • communicate with others online
  • understand how to buy goods and services online safely
