We will learn how to create a themed mood-board specific to your creative ideas. We will learn how to better understand the principles of colour theory and how to mix colours that are not muddy. We will look at visualising our spaces with some basic drawing techniques and look at how to measure and scale drawings to help understand the overall design. By looking at trends and style appropriate to your space before spending a penny on materials, those expensive mistake are going to be avoided, or so we hope. Have fun on this supportive and creative course.
Course aim
This course will provide a basic introduction to the principles of interior design, with a view to apply the gained knowledge to creating personal interior spaces in your home to a professional standard.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Make a mood-board
- Give two examples of colour theory
- Use drawing techniques to visualize space
- Demonstrate drawing skills to create a plan, a section and work with scale.
- Give at least 3 examples of the correct terminology within the context of home interior design
What else do I need to know?
Basic materials, drawing materials, a Layout pad or sketchbook, gouache paint or makers would be good but not necessary, Ruler, fine liner pens. selection of magazines? or access to a printer?
