Many of us deem ourselves to be ‘ordinary’ people, one of many in the sea of millions across the globe. Every person however has a story to tell. Memoir writing is the art of relaying these stories to the masses in an interesting, accessible, and appropriate way. This short course aims to define ‘memoirs’, teach basic tips and approaches, and discuss what may and may not be effective whilst observing a variety of examples. Content includes lecture, exercises, excerpts, and discussion.
