This is a course for people taking their first steps in art history in a relaxed and supportive environment. You can expect to build your confidence in enjoying works of art from three periods, exploring the key themes of those periods and investigating what makes them special. If you’ve always wanted to find out more about art history but didn’t know where to start – then this is the course for you.

Enjoy art history for all and discover how three periods shape the art around us today.

  • Recognise works from three key periods of art
  • Explain how artists worked in these periods
  • Analyse the culture in which artists work
  • Evaluate how these key periods shapes the art around us
