This taster session explores the links between stress, relaxation and well being. Students can look at ways of reducing stress and increasing relaxation and contain two relaxation exercises which students can learn and then apply to their own lives.
Course aim
To help students understand the mechanisms by which stress and relaxation work and apply this knowledge to their lives and stress triggers. They will also learn two types of relaxation exercise.

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Recognise the impact of both stress and relaxation on health
- Identify the sources of stress and relaxation in my life
- Implement relaxation techniques in my daily life
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion

- Nothing else is needed
- All materials will be provided
