Welcome to Yoga For All. We will help you ease tension through focusing on your breathing, simple stretches and postures, and Deep Relaxation. All exercises can be adapted to suit you, making sure you feel comfortable and at ease.
Course aim
This course is effectively an Introduction to Yoga. We will focus on breathing techniques, simple stretches to ease tension, yoga postures to improve your strength and flexibility and Relaxation practice.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Focus on your breathing, helping you to feel calm and relaxed.
- Practice exercises that ease stiffness in all the joints.
- Practice simple stretches and postures that help ease tension in the muscles.
- Get to know your own body better, learn how to improve your posture.
- Learn how to deeply relax.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas will be used to provide resources or to support lessons, enable assessment, provide learner feedback and for other activities for individuals away from the course. - The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- Your tutor will provide written, text and audio feedback recorded in WEA Canvas, WEA’s digital learning platform.
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- I will give continued support throughout the class, we will focus on how you feel and discuss the activities.
What else do I need to know?

- A yoga mat or a comfortable rug to lie on. Comfortable clothes. A chair. A cushion or pillow.
