This taster session will provide a practical introduction to some redrafting techniques suitable for short fiction and short non-fiction. Fay Weldon says that 'there have to be two personalities in every writer.' If you've embraced the 'creative, impetuous, wilful, emotional, sloppy' one, then it might be time to hone up the critical one. We'll be practicing some of the skills necessary to begin that process, using our own writings. To do this, please submit a copy of a piece of your writing that you wish to work on, to the Canvas site for this course on or before, the 15th January. Maximum word count 300 words, fiction or non-fiction. Ideally, a complete piece, but if this is a section from a longer piece, please also supply a summary of the whole.
