This session is for participants who want to know how to use IT and online apps to keep daily or weekly track of their budget. Participants will explore a variety of apps to help them manage their money, in additional they will also be shown how to create their own simple spreadsheet to track their income and expenditure.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Identify the need for budget planning
- Create a simple spreadsheet to track income and outgoings
- Identify at least one budgeting tool to manage their money more effectively
- Recognise at least 2 advantages to online banking
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
What else do I need to know?

- You will also need access to the internet outside of your sessions. You could do this using a smart phone, tablet, laptop or a desktop computer (at home or through a library etc.).
