Face to Face in Derby - Aboriginal Art

Ref: C2344406

On this course we will look at the arts and crafts of the Australian aboriginal peoples. We will look at their historical development, regional differences, and meanings behind the styles and symbols. We will start by looking at the original prehistoric cave paintings, right through to the canvasses which fetch vast sums on today's international art markets. We will then make our own art work influenced in some way by what we have seen.
