If you are a beginner and need help getting started on a computer, or need to improve your current basic computing skills, explore our Introduction to PowerPoint course to get you started on your journey. This is a non-accredited course. This is a practical and flexible way of improving your ICT skills using Microsoft Office.

Course aim

The course aims are for the learners to gain confidence using Microsoft PowerPoint application to create a Presentation.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • You will need to be able to follow links to join our WEA live video learning platform: WEA Zoom. If you’d like to understand more about our video learning platform, Zoom please visit: http://bit.ly/WEAonline and http://bit.ly/ZoomSpec
  • This is a live lecture delivered by a subject specialist in an online webinar video learning platform. You will need to be able to access the internet on a device with speakers or earphones.   • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Confidently identify and use presentation software correctly
  • Use a Presentation application where I will have the ability to create a presentation and enter text and numbers.
  • I will be able to confidently use the presentation to format master slide.
  • I will be able to confidently use the presentation to apply transitions and animations.
  • I will have the ability to present the presentation using PowerPoint show.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?
