Ways Keeping positive and Happy

The course will teach you various ways of improving our happiness in detail. Through presentation, videos and practical sessions. We will practise ways we can help ourselves in the comfort of our own Homes. Easy and practical steps that everyone can try and remain content and positive in their own thinking and peace of mind. We will look at meditation, various types of exercise, therapies including meditation and Emotional Freedom Technique. The techniques shown will be interactive, interesting and useful. We will go into the basics we need to live a fulfilled and peaceful life with the resources we have.

Course aim

The course will teach you various ways to keep healthy both mentally and physically and how to keep positive. we will look at each way to keep positive and happy in some details and try out various exercises and Therapies that we can do ourselves.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Learn the basics of keeping positive
  • Learn about benefits and history of yoga laughter and how it improves our health
  • Lear about different ways to meditate
  • Learn about alternative therapies and how they work

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
  • All materials will be provided

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required

What can I do next?

  • Progress to another WEA course
  • Become involved with the WEA in a range of voluntary work and other activities including campaigning as a WEA member
  • Become involved as a volunteer for a WEA partner or another organisation
