Become more confident about the kind of interviews you might face. Familiarise yourself with the types of questions, tasks and tests you might be given at an interview. Get the chance in a safe, friendly group to develop these interview skills.

Course aim

This short, informal workshop will help you prepare for interview questions, tasks and tests. It will help you understand what employers are looking for and what types of questions or aptitude tests might be used in the recruitment process.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify what skills and attributes employers are looking for
  • Familiarise myself with the types of questions, tasks and tests that employers use
  • List at least three skills and strengths that I have and list at least three areas where I need to develop

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided
  • Please bring: A pen An open-mind, willing to learn and participate A CV (if you have one)

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
