In this workshop we will look at what is meant by the term 'safeguarding' and 'adults at risk' and how to recognise the different forms abuse may take. We will also examine the key the laws and principles guiding the safeguarding process and will look at real life scenarios to explore safeguarding principles in practice. By the end of the workshop learners will have a clear understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities as a volunteer and an insight into the safeguarding process in Surrey.
