Seminar: 1919 Peacemaking and the Legacy of the Great War

Ref: C3744386

One hundred years ago the peace treaties ending the Great War were signed. The war itself had changed forever the stable world created during the 'long' C19th. The peace treaties extended and amplified those consequences in ways which the peacemakers could hardly forsee. Together they created the conditions for the political, economic and social changes which continue to shape our world. Our focus will be principally on Europe but we will also examine the implications for the United States, the Far East and the world wide Empires of the European Powers after 1919,
